Aloha KLRF ʻohana,
The past several weeks have tested Kunia Loa Ridge Farmlands, and if you have driven the property lately, you have probably noticed things steadily getting better. Clearer weather has settled in and conditions across the ridge have stabilized, which finally gave us the window we needed to move forward with real recovery work.
None of that happens without you. The patience, cooperation, and kokua from everyone is the reason we are seeing meaningful progress across the property. Here is where the repairs stand.
Road repairs are still underway
Conditions have improved, but road restoration is still active in several areas. Our crews are working through the damaged and washed-out sections, stabilizing the roadways so everyone has safer access and normal traffic can flow again.
A small ask that makes a big difference: please keep driving with caution, give the crews room to work safely, and watch for active repair zones as you move around the ridge. The more room they have to work without interruption, the sooner the roads are back to normal for all of us.
Water system repairs are nearly complete
Good news on the water side. After crews identified several damaged and exposed lines across the property, they went to work restoring the system, and most of those repairs are now done.
A few remaining sections are being finalized, and final pressure and stability checks are ongoing to make sure everything holds the way it should. Mahalo for your patience while we close out these last steps. We would rather get it right than get it fast.
There is still work ahead, and we will keep you posted as the roads and water system are fully signed off. Mahalo for pulling together and looking out for one another.
Mahalo,
KLRF Board of Directors
