FARMERS MARKET COMMITTEE

The KLRF Farmers Market is where our community comes together to support local farmers and small businesses. Held every first and third Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM, it’s the perfect place to find fresh produce, homemade goods, and tasty food while enjoying the country views of Kunia Loa Ridge Farmlands. 

Exciting progress continues for the KLRF Farmers Market!

Goals & Updates:

  • The Grand Opening of the expanded Farmers Market is planned for the first week of December.

  • Starting in November, events will be held twice per month to accommodate growing participation.

  • The market now has its own website, directory, and email at www.kunialoaridgefarmersmarket.com

     

ROAD COMMITTEE

The committee remains focused on improving road safety, long-term maintenance, and reporting transparency.

Goals & Updates:

  • Create a road condition database with photos and locations to document road status and guide maintenance planning.

  • Continuing monthly road cleanups ahead of each Farmers Market.

  • Preparing to prioritize repairs based on the database results.

WATER COMMITTEE

Reducing water costs and ensuring reliable service continue to be top priorities.

Goals & Updates:

  • The committee has already achieved a reduced rate of $3 per 1,000 gallons.

  • Fixing the water reservoirs

  • The next goal is to further reduce and stabilize water pricing through system efficiency and cooperative purchasing.

ANIMAL AND PET COMMITTEE

The committee is strengthening safety and animal management within the community.

Goals & Updates:

  • Creating a Pet Database to help track animals across lots for safety and accountability.

  • Enhancing pet reporting procedures to promote responsible ownership.

  • Creating a lost and found management system to track animals across lots.

SAFETY AND FIRE COMMITTEE

The Safety and Fire Committee is in the planning stage.

Status: Yet to be formally formed.

Once established, this committee will focus on emergency readiness, fire prevention, and rapid communication systems.

Landscaping & Beautification Committee

A new initiative to promote pride, sustainability, and the visual appeal of our farmlands.

Status: Yet to be created.

This committee will focus on beautification projects, vegetation management, and landscaping enhancements once formed.
